Quick post, because I had requests for pictures.My tweeps Millie and Leigh were talking about kale chips this morning, and I had kale left from my stew and my breakfast shake, so perfect time to finally try these things.Step 1: cut the leaves off the stems/spines.Step 2: toss in olive oil, seasalt, lemon juice, hot chili powder, black pepper.
Bake at 300° for 20 minutes, on a cookie sheet and/or parchment paper.WALLA!
Here they are with some space, so you can see what an actual “chip” looks like.
I used too much salt, and a whole lemon. Next time, only 1/2 lemon, and less salt. Otherwise, crisp and crunchy, and a great way to consume this stuff.
